YRA: Driving Rugby Forward
Get in involved in rugby. Join the Youg Ambassador programme and gain recognition for your involvement. With many different ways to be involved there are many valuable benefits including learning professional skills and stash.
Who can be a YRA?
If you are aged between 14-25 and support rugby in your local area – you are elible. If you are involved at your club, school, college, university or within your community – you are elible. You can be with a group of mates or just on your own supported by your club, tutor, teacher or committee – you too are elible.
How often and how long you help out is it up to you. Be it refereeing a match once a week or helping out at an event once a year. There’s a variety of ways to support rugby in your area, from managing a club’s social media to coaching minis and juniors.
Listed are just some the ways you can get involved on and off the pitch:
- Ambassador roles
- Events organising
- Social Media
If you have any questions about any of these roles, you can email YRA2015@RFU.com.
How it works?
The YRA programme is in partnership with vInspired, who provide the tools to keep track of your hours. The more hours you give, the more we give back to you.
The milestones you will receive rewards for are: 10, 30, 50 and 100 hours. You will receive certificates and exclusive YRA stash.
- 10 hours: Certificate, YRA t-shirt
- 30 hours: Certificate, recognition from an England Rugby representative, YRA bobble hat
- 50 hours: Certificate, YRA hoody
- 100 hours: Certificate, YRA jacket
This guidance will help you with what sort of evidence we are looking for at each award. Make sure you let us know what you have done, where you are volunteering, who the main contact is, and your kit size.
